Jazz had to be isolated from all other dogs until her stool was solid for 24 hours and then isolated for another 24 hours after that. Needless to say after 3 days of isolation this young puppy is out of her mind and so is her mom! This morning it was as if she knew she was out of isolation, she was up earlier than usual. Note to Self: teach Jazz the meaning of Saturday and Sunday. Although it’s going to be very cold today, a walk near the water is a requirement, so that Jazz can release some of the built up energy she has.
Training Update
Sit: Jazz has mastered this command so long as no body is touching her toys. We will be working on this.
Down: Last we chatted, down was something that Jazz just did not want to do! Great news! The day after training we worked on it, then that night she just started going down without any assistance.
No Bite: All I have to say is that she understands what I am telling her but she doesn’t care. We are still working on this. Note to Self: buy stock in Grannick’s bitter apple!
Come: Jazz does really well with come and we are working on coming when she is outside the house.
No Beg: I just started working with Jazz on begging and so far it’s going really well.
Out Of The Kitchen: Just started this today and boy she really does catch on quick! Of course she tried the “I’m just taking the shortcut to the living room” or “I’m just getting a drink of water” tricks. I wasn’t really expected these trick so soon but she wasn’t expecting I knew then either.
I’m grateful that Jazz can socialize before going back to class! Can you image what she would be like without being able to get some energy out?
